Introduction

Most travelers travel to China only once in their lifetime. World Spree want to ensure you have all the resources in planning your dream vacation. Please read the following information regarding the level of activity you can expect and your physical requirements specific to this China trip.

Physical Requirements

This trip is suitable for World Spree travelers who live an active lifestyle, enjoy good health and mobility, are comfortable participating in 3-5 hours of daily physical activities and sightseeing, and are able to walk 2-3 miles unassisted over the course of each day. It is not appropriate for individuals who rely upon wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Agility and balance are suggested for the hiking tour to the Dragon Spine Terraces.

Dragon Spine Terraces

This journey includes an exclusive hiking tour to the Dragon Spine Terraces in the Guilin and Longsheng area. It's not like climbing a mountain, but it's not just a simple hike either. If you like, you may skip this hiking tour, and enjoy a relaxing day exploring Guilin on your own. The Sheraton Guilin is ideally located along the Li River, and this hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and free Internet access. Some down time on your own at this half-way point of your trip is usually greatly appreciated.

Use your free time to take a leisure walk along the Li River, admiring one of China's most renowned areas of natural beauty. Enjoy the sweet fragrance of the Osmanthus trees while being captivated by the cultural life as it gently surrounds you; fishing on the Li River, vendors setting up exotic foods, people bicycling on their way to work and so much more. This is an excellent opportunity for you to have a free day of doing nothing but enjoying everything around you and can be a very relaxing and satisfying experience. Don't worry about lunch as we will provide you with lunch credit so that you can eat whatever you'd like on this free day.

Group Size & Tour Guides

World Spree tour guides are hand-picked, well-trained and service oriented. They are constantly evaluated based on the feedback from every single World Spree customer. We know the success of your trip largely depends on the quality of our tour guides; therefore, we strive to hire only the best.

For groups of 10 travelers or more, a national tour guide will be assigned to travel with your group throughout your trip in China except to Hong Kong. We need a minimum of 6 travelers to guarantee the tour departure. Group size varies depending on the trip, seasonality, airline availability, and special departure dates and events.

The quietvox headphone is provided to this specific tour program when the group size is 10 or more. This means that each tour participant will receive a lightweight, portable receiver that can be worn around the neck or slipped into a pocket to aid in hearing the tour guides. The quietvox headphone is designed for comfort and quality; allowing you and your fellow travelers the ability to easily hear your tour guide's instructions and stories.

Document Delivery

Final travel documents will be send to you via email about two weeks prior to departure. This email will include a copy of your electronic air ticket Itinerary(e-ticket), the final tour itinerary, hotel, emergency contacts, and other important information for your trip.

FAQ

Q: Can I earn mileage credit when flying with Air China?
As a general rule, the airlines don't give mileage for discounted group airfares which are lower than published fares, so you may not earn mileage when traveling with Air China on your World Spree tour.

Air China group tickets (class: K) do not earn mileage points. However, some individual air tickets can earn partial to full mileage with Star Alliance depending on the Air China ticket booking class. Mileage points are calculated using the airline pricing system.

This is an airline policy and beyond the control of World Spree. You should ONLY contact the airline regarding any mileage points when you receive your air tickets from World Spree Spree two weeks prior to departure. Air China Call Center can be reached at: 800-882-8122. You may also be required to provide the original ticket receipt and boarding pass to the related airlines.
Q: Can I use my mileage to upgrade to business class with Air China?
No, Air China does not allow upgrades to business class using your United Mileage. However you can redeem your United Mileage points to purchase Air China flights by dealing with United only since Air China belongs to the Star Alliance and is a code-sharing partner with United Airlines.
Q: Do our China Tour director and local guides speak good English?
Yes, each China Tour professional selected is highly educated, licensed and chosen for the ability and talent to relate to English speakers.
Q: Do I need any inoculations or medical attention prior to going to China?
No shots are mandatory per Chinese Customs. However, we recommend Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus. Traveling to any exotic destination like China may cause diarrhea; Imodium is a must for all China travel. If your proposed tour includes Tibet (at 11,000 feet), you are strongly recommended to visit your family doctor for their professional advice about traveling at high altitudes.
Q: Can I rent a cell phone to use in China?
Yes, We would strongly advise our customers to get an unlocked tri-band (multi-band) mobile phone from the States and buy a local SIM card as soon as they arrive in China. The cards are prepaid -- e.g. RMB100 will get you quite a bit of talk time and at lower cost than the hotel IDD service...About two weeks prior to departure date, we will mail a booklet to you with more information about cell phone rental.
Q: Will there be an opportunity to hold a baby panda?
No. The reason why guests are no longer allowed to hold the panda is because in 2014, an individual held a few pandas, which got them sick and ultimately led to their death. As the nation's national treasure, the Center in Chengdu, together with the government, have made it a policy that no close contact with a Giant Panda can occur until further notice. There is a non-government organization a couple hours away from Chengdu that still allows it; however, ethically, we do not support it.
Q: Can you send me a brochures?
Thank you for your interest in World Spree Travel. For the environment and to keep the costs of our trips reasonable, we do not produce paper brochures. Our only selling tool is our website. If you would like us to guide you through the site or booking process, please call us at 1-866-652-5656, and any of our representatives would be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
